Hi, I'm Sophie — the hands (and hooks) behind thisfairymade.

I've been crocheting since 2021, and what started as a lockdown hobby slowly turned into a small design practice. I write every pattern myself, test it with a few different yarn weights before publishing, and photograph every finished piece in my own home.

I design across a pretty wide range — cosy blankets, quick amigurumi, wearable accessories, and the odd seasonal decoration — but everything shares the same soft, cottage-inspired palette and a focus on patterns that are genuinely beginner-friendly, even when the finished piece looks impressive.

Outside of crochet, you'll usually find me in the garden, rewatching the same handful of comfort shows, or attempting (badly) to teach my cat to leave the yarn basket alone.
